The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) hereby informs all foreign trained graduates of Medicine and Dentistry who have obtained medical or dental degree certificates, that the MDCN is organising a four (4)-month special programme to update their knowledge and skills to meet the standards obtainable in Nigeria. This notice is also directed to their parents, guardians, other stakeholders, and the general public.

The programme is scheduled to take place from Monday, 3rd February, 2025 to Friday, 30th May, 2025.

A. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
i. The programme is for medical and dental graduates who have completed their training and obtained medical/dental degree certificates from the country of training.
ii. Interested applicants must have submitted their certificates and transcripts to the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
iii. Submissions will be reviewed and only eligible candidates will be enrolled.
iv. Note that online "completion" with unregulated unsupervised "clinical rotation in home-country" is not acceptable to MDCN.

B. REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION
Registration should be done through the MDCN website: www.portal.mdcn.gov.ng/remediation/programme
Interested applicants are also required to provide electronic copies of the following:
i. All relevant academic qualifications i.e GCE/SSCE/NECO or equivalent (with five (5) credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at not more than two sittings) and medical/dental degree certificates.
ii. Relevant portions of International Passport (Visa, Arrival & Departure pages).
iii. Colour passport-size photograph. 
iv. Birth certificate or statutory declaration of age.

C. VENUE OF THE REMEDIATION TRAINING PROGRAMME
The Programme will be held at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada, Abuja.

D. NON-REFUNDABLE TRAINING FEES FOR THE REMEDIATION PROGRAMME
(1) One million, two hundred thousand naira only (N1, 200,000.00) per applicant.
(2) Other charges (Dental materials for dental applicants only): N100, 000.00

Please note that the fee paid does NOT include  accommodation and feeding.
