The attention of the Registrar of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has been drawn to the existence of fraudulent social media accounts: on platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram, and phone numbers purporting to represent the Registrar.
Staff and the public are hereby strongly advised to disregard these fake accounts and any communications originating from them. These accounts have been used by unscrupulous individuals to solicit procurement-related information and make other inappropriate requests. Such actions are in direct violation of public procurement regulations, and the Registrar has not, and will never, authorise or engage in such conduct through social media or any unofficial channels.
Please be informed that these impersonators are engaging in criminal activity. The fake accounts have been reported to relevant law enforcement agencies as well as to the respective social media platforms for necessary action.
Members of the public and all stakeholders are urged to remain vigilant. Do not engage with or respond to messages from any account claiming to represent the Registrar or MDCN outside the Council’s verified official channels.
